Brand communications

Ladbrokes are the main sponsor for the annual PDC World Darts Championship held at Alexandra Palace in North London.

Every year thousands of spectacularly dressed spectators arrive to watch their favourite players compete and to enjoy this unique sporting experience. Ladbrokes asked us to design all the brand communications surrounding the event.

The players’ nicknames reminded us of superheroes, so we suggested creating a graphic language, based loosely on the work of Roy Lichtenstein, to inspire some comic book themed illustrations.

The images were used for signage, hoardings and advertising and were loved so much that they were often stolen!
